AeroPress
AeroPress Coffee Ratio
A simple AeroPress starts with 15 g coffee and 220 g water. Stronger recipes often use 18 g coffee with 180 g water, then dilute after pressing.
| Recipe | Coffee | Water | Grind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balanced cup | 15 g | 220 g | Medium |
| Short strong cup | 18 g | 180 g | Medium-fine |
| Iced AeroPress | 18 g | 140 g over ice | Medium-fine |
| Bypass style | 20 g | 120 g brew, then dilute | Fine to medium-fine |
Why the range is wide
AeroPress recipes vary because immersion time, pressure, filter type, and dilution all change the final cup. Treat ratio as a starting point, not a rule.
AeroPress rewards notes. Write down coffee dose, water weight, steep time, and whether you diluted after pressing.
